“It is a lot of fun to be with Rotarians from another country. It is a great sharing opportunity.”
Rogue Gateway is working with District 5110 on some Rotary Friendship exchanges. The first exchange will be from India with the team visiting Southern Oregon April 30-May 3.
The group from India will tour Crater Lake with Bend Rotarians, after which Rogue Gateway Rotarians will host the team, then transport the group to Roseburg to meet their Coos Bays hosts. Rogue Gateway Rotarian Tommi Drake, who is coordinating the visit with District 5110 Chair Camille Ronzio, is looking for six host families and drivers for the team.
Rotarians on a Rotary Friendship Exchange pay for their own travel expenses to the exchange country and are are responsible for all venue admissions and food (unless it is in the home of a Rotarian) while on the exchange.
“It is a lot of fun to be with Rotarians from another country,” Tommi said. “It is a great sharing opportunity.”
