District awards recognize Rogue Gateway’s service

Rogue Gateway Rotary President Steve Roe accepts an award for best club public image from District 5110 Past District Gov. Cindy O’Neill. Many other awards were presented to club members.

District 5110 leadership presented Rogue Gateway Rotary and club members with many awards Oct. 31 for last year’s outstanding performance. The club, which was celebrating Halloween and near-completion of the Foundry Village Tiny House project, received the district’s best medium club award, a Shelter Box bronze award, recognition for membership growth, and the Rotary International Presidential Citation. Individual awards went to Past-President Dawn Welch for outstanding medium club president, Youth Interact award for Delynn Scharpen, Doug Walker for outstanding club project, Greg Fishwick for outstanding club service, and Steve Roe for best club public image. In addition, Rotary Foundation major donor awards were presented to Kirk Brown and Greg Fishwick.
